The Mirror reports that Rice had promised to hand his match-worn shirt to Rasshford after the encounter, only for the midfielder to give it to a young fan, who was crying in the stands.
A video capturing the moment showed Rice gifting his shirt after he spotted the youngster in tears.
"Are you alright, brother? Why are you crying?" Rice asked the kid before giving him a big hug.
The young lad went on to ask for the midfielder's shirt, to which the West Ham ace replied:
"You know what, I did promise it to Rashford. Don't show them a lot [some other fans] because I've just told them I'm going to give it to Rashford, but I'll give him another one!"
