FootballAubameyang Confirms His Ideal Next Club After Disastrous Spell at Chelsea
- Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has expressed his desire to return to La Liga
- The striker has hardly played at Chelsea after sealing a deadline-day move from Barcelona
- He is among the players who will be expected to leave at the end of the season
When Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined Chelsea on the last day of the summer transfer window, many viewed it as an unpopular move but a necessary one.
Necessary because Robert Lewandowski's arrival at Camp Nou meant that all the other forwards had to play second fiddle to him and unpopular because of his prior London ties with Arsenal.
But somehow, Thomas Tuchel's presence at Chelsea, a coach he had played under at Borussia Dortmund, allayed fears that perhaps he might provide the Blues with the much-needed firepower after the disaster that was Romelu Lukaku
Aubameyang had only lasted six months in Spain, where he scored over 10 goals in La Liga - not a bad return by any means.

Auba's woes at Chelsea
His reunion under Tuchel only lasted 59 minutes and with that began his catastrophic spell in West London. Tuchel was sacked after the 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb and his replacement, Graham Potter, overlooked him several times to the point of removing him from the Champions League squad.
The former Arsenal captain has now confirmed that he would like to head back to Barcelona in the summer.
"I would like to go back to Barcelona but we will see," said Aubameyang in a Tik Tok video.
He signed a two-year deal but given how things have unravelled this season, the next Chelsea manager won't stand in his way.
