- One of the best Egyptian footballers ever and arguably the greatest Al Ahly ever has made a remarkable claim about the team's former coach Pitso Mosimane
- He described him as one of the best ever coaches to sit on the bench of the Red Devils
The one and only Mohamed Aboutrika has made an assertion for the ages.
Aboutrika, arguably the greatest ever player to put on an Al Ahly jersey, believes that Pitso Mosimane is one of - if not the - best coaches to ever lead a Red Devils side.
Quoting him from a television broadcast, KingFut reported how the midfield wizard said:
“The culture of the fans of big clubs always demands more championships. We [Egypt's Al Ahly] won the Super Cup yesterday and the fans are already demanding to win the CAF Champions League and then the Premier League titles. Second place is considered a failure by the club.

"Pitso Mosimane is one of the greatest coaches in the history of Al Ahly due to winning titles during the period in which he was present, and the numbers prove that. In the big matches, we used to be confident as Al Ahly fans, because we know what he is capable of doing. “He is one of the best coaches in the history of Egyptian football and Al Ahly, coming after Nándor Hidegkuti and Manuel Jose."
Mosimane responded in a tweet:
"I am humbled by Legend Abu Trika’s inspiring words. I will keep working hard."
Mosimane departed the club suddenly last June despite his success in Cairo, having had to deal with unappreciative sections of Al Ahly's supporters, former players and media. Landing in the Middle East, he then guided Saudi Arabian second-division team Al Ahli Saudi to promotion into the Saudi Pro League.
