Lionel Messi's unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia triggered the protest amidst reports that talks over a new contract have completely broken down between the two parties.
The club has suspended the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner with no pay for the unprofessional misconduct, as reported by Sky Sports.
This led to protests by the fans at the club headquarters, demanding Messi and Marco Veratti leave the club at the end of the season.
