Manchester United winger, Antony was lucky to escape a straight red card for blatantly kicking an opponent during the Premier League match against Brighton and Hove Albion on May 4.
Antony was recalled to the starting eleven after he started on the bench in United's last outing against Aston Villa. He started on his preferred right flank and could have easily put his side ahead within the first 90 seconds.
Just like the FA Cup semi-final two weeks earlier, the contest at the Amex Stadium was a cagey affair, with both sides drawing top-notch saves from the goalkeepers.
Match referee, Andre Marriner was on the spot for some dubious decisions, as he elected to allow the game to flow without major interruptions.

However, that came at a cost, with both sides feeling disgruntled with the nature of fouls that were allowed to pass.
Many in the South Coast felt Casemiro ought to have been sent off for a second yellow card. Frustrations were even higher after Antony aimed a petulant kick at Alexis Mac Allister in the second half.
The Brazilian was incensed after the match officials failed to spot what he thought was a hold on him. He got up and angrinly lashed out with a kick on the Brighton man in a clear and intentional foul.
The Video Assistant Referee was content with Marriner's decision to award just a yellow card. The former Ajax man was then hooked off, with Jadon Sancho taking his place. Brighton's skipper, Lewis Dunk also got booked in the game.
Barca reach third consecutive Champions League final with Chelsea draw
FootballAntony's woes were compounded when Luke Shaw handled the ball inside his own penalty area deep into stoppage time, with Mac Allister stepping up to score the resultant penalty.
The defeat meant the Seagulls completed a season double over United and got their revenge for the FA Cup semi-final defeat.
How Brighton beat Man United
Sports Brief also reported on Brighton getting revenge against United for the FA Cup semi-final loss, with Mac Allister scoring from the spot in the dying seconds.
A classy Seagulls side dominated the possession but lacked a cutting edge until Shaw's handball deep into injury time gave them a chance to claim all three points.
The result leaves United in fourth place in the Premier League with five games to play - only four points clear of Liverpool, while Brighton are now up to sixth place.
