Chelsea legend and one of the Premier League's greatest goalkeepers, Petr Cech, was inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame earlier this week.

The former Czech international played in the Premier League for 15 years and represented London's blue and red side - one of the many players to play for the two clubs.

He joined Chelsea in 2004 from French side Rennes and overcame a career-threatening head injury to become one of the best goalkeepers in English football.

According to BBC Sports, after 11 years at Stamfordbridge, he moved to Arsenal for £10m after losing his first-team spot to emerging goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

He retired at the end of the 2018/19 season after losing the UEFA Europa League final to the Blues. He returned to Chelsea as technical and performance advisor immediately before quitting the role last year when Todd Boehly took over.

Chelsea fans drag Cech

According to Premier League's official website, Cech kept 202 clean sheets and won four golden gloves in his career. Majority of which came in West London.

He took to Twitter to appreciate his previous clubs and fans after his induction but the Blues faithful saw a reason to get at their legend for mentioning Arsenal before Chelsea.

One wrote:

''Killa why arsenal for come bfo Chelsea ? Respect urself abeg [sic].''

The second wrote:

''tagged Arsenal before us?''

The third wrote:

''Well deserved it legend and why did you thanks Arsenal they have nothing to your achievement [sic].''

Another added:

''Tagged Arsenal before Chelsea, we really did treat him bad. Shame on you @todd_boehly''

Mendy bids farewell to Cech

One of the most notable impacts Cech had during his administrative years at Chelsea was convincing goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to sign for the Blues from his former club Rennes.

As Sports Brief reported, Mendy sent a farewell message to Cech when he departed the club last year after meetings with American billionaire Todd Boehly, who took over the club from Roman Abramovich.
