Erling Haaland has hit the ground running since he joined Manchester City in the summer of 2022.

The Borussia Dortmund hotshot has been firing from all cylinders, with his incisiveness in front of the goal helping him shatter records in his debut season in the Premier League.

Haaland was at his best on Wednesday night as he bagged one of City's three goals to see off West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium.

According to The Sun, the goal saw the 22-year-old hotshot break another long-standing Premier League record as he became the first player in the history of the division to score 35 goals in a single season.

The previous record of 34 goals was held by Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer and former Man United forward Andy Cole.

Incredibly, this is not the only record Haland has broken in the EPL since his arrival. Sports Brief takes a look at seven other records that the forward has shattered.

7. Half-century of goals

Last weekend, Haaland got his name on the scoresheet inside just three minutes of action.

The forward fired City ahead from the penalty spot in what was his 50th goal across competitions.

He is the first player in the EPL to hit a half-century of goals.

6. Fastest player to hit 10 EPL goals

Back in September, Haaland scored his 10th Premier League goal against Aston Villa.

This was only his fifth EPL game, making him the quickest player to hit the magic 10-goal mark in the history of the league.

5. Record for away goals

In mid-September, the Norwegian scored his 14th goal of the season away at Wolves.

The Telegraph reports that the goal was enough to become the first player to score in his first four Premier League away games.

4. Record for hat-tricks

In October, Haaland bagged a hat-trick against Man United at Old Trafford.

The hat trick was his third consecutive - making him the first player in the EPL to score three successive trebles.

3. Pep Guardiola record

Haaland's 25th goal against Leeds United back in December saw him become the fastest player to score 25 goals under Pep Guardiola.

The forward achieved the feat in 20 matches – eight fewer than it took Messi to reach the milestone under Pep at Barcelona.

2. First to score over 20 goals before January

Haaland made history during the same Leeds clash as he became the first player to score more than 20 goals before January.

1. Champions League record

Back in March, the Norway international was on target as Man City played RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

His goal was his 30th in the competition - making him the youngest player to achieve the feat, aged just 22.

Haaland honoured at Man City

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Erling Haaland was on Wednesday night, May 3, the man of the moment as Manchester City demolished West Ham United 3-0 to return to the summit of the Premier League standings.

City had to wait until the second half to see off the Hammers, having failed to find a breakthrough in the first half of the match.

Manchester City stars and staff used the occasion to honour Haaland shortly after the West Ham United clash, with the team mounting a guard of honour for the Norway international.
