Vinicius Junior gets kicked around like Brazil icon, Pele and Argentina legend, Diego Maradona, according to Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti.

However, the 22-year-old has also been targeted by rivals, getting frequently fouled and kicked due to his ability to outwit his opposition.

Vinicius has also endured numerous racial abuse incidents involving opposing team supporters this season.

As quoted by Diario AS, via Football Espana, Ancelotti spoke about his Brazilian star and the rough treatment he continues to receive.

"On the one hand, there is what happens on the pitch and on the other, off it. Off it, it is bad for society, to still have racism… a modern society cannot be like that. And on the pitch, the truth is that the players kick him lots, it’s obvious. Maradona or Pele were also kicked a lot, unfortunately."

Vinicius Junior has been in prolific form this season despite all the fouls and abuse.

The number 20 jersey star has notched 22 goals and registered 19 assists in 48 outings across competitions for Real Madrid.

Vinicius dribbles like Ronaldinho

Sports Brief also reported on Vinicius Junior channelling his inner Ronaldinho to score a sublime goal amid his purple patch of form this season.

The Brazilian put in another assured performance from the left flank, despite Real Madrid's shock 3-2 defeat against Villarreal during their La Liga tie.

Vinicius still left an impression on the game, with a goal akin to Ronaldinho's stunner versus Real Madrid at their iconic home stadium in 2005.

Vinicius torments Barca

Sports Brief previously reported on Real Madrid star, Vinicius tormented Barcelona again in the second-leg semi-final of the Copa del Rey recently.

The electrifying winger put on a splendid performance as Los Blancos thrashed their Catalan foes 4-0 to secure a spot in the 2023 Spanish Cup final.

While Karim Benzema made the headlines at Camp Nou, his teammate, Vinicius Junior was undoubtedly the best player for coach, Carlo Ancelotti.
