  • Marcus Rashford reunited with his former United teammate Jesse Lingard during a birthday party
  • The two players are currently on opposite ends of the table, with Lingard's side fighting relegation
  • Rashford reportedly saved a Women's Super League star from a group of rowdy fans at a nightclub

Marcus Rashford was spotted enjoying a night out with former Manchester United teammate Jesse Lingard. The two reportedly attended the birthday party of their close friend Sunny Digwa who was turning 35 years.

The duo has been close and not even Lingard departing at the end of last season put a wedge in their friendship.

Lingard now turns out for Nottingham Forrest.

As the Sun reports, the pair linked up on May 1 in a setting that appeared to be a night club looking all happy even as they chase two different targets for the season.

Rashford is leading United's onslaught to finish in the top four and add another silverware in the form of the FA Cup when they play Manchester City in the final on June 3. He has arguably been Erik ten Hag's best player this season.

Lingard, meanwhile, is involved in a relegation dogfight with Nottingham, with Steven Cooper's side currently in 18th place. It hasn't gone quite to plan for the 30-year-old, who has been used sparingly in a team that brought over 15 new players.

Rashford 'saves' Alisha Lehmann

His link-up with Rashford comes a few days after news broke out that he (Rashford) has saved Aston Villa Women's star Alisha Lehmann from a group of rowdy men at a nightclub.

The two did not go to the club together but the United ace stepped in after a group of men swarmed Lehmann's table.

GMS reports that Lehmann thought Rashford was a gentleman for his actions. She is surprisingly the most followed Swiss sportsperson, beating retired tennis legend Roger Federer. At the time of writing, Federer had 11.4 million followers, while Lehmann has 13 million.

Rashford helps Wes Brown

Sports Brief has also reported that Rashford is reportedly renting out one of his properties to Red Devils legend Wes Brown, who is bankrupt.

Brown is understood to have been declared bankrupt after owing a huge six-figure debt to the taxman, as well as a car company.

The former defender is alleged to have lost millions of pounds after property deals he was pursuing went wrong.
