Popular Gospel Singer Reveals How Asamoah Gyan Came to His Aid With $8,000

Ghanaian gospel singer, Nacee, known in real life as Nana Osei, has disclosed how former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan supported him with $8,000 for his concert.

The record producer and hitmaker revealed that he was struggling to put up his own show when Gyan came to his aid without even asking.

In a video shared on social media, Nacee took the opportunity to express gratitude to the legendary Ghanaian footballer.

"In 2015, I was organising a concert and was in desperate need of money as things became tough for me. Asamoah Gyan gave me $8,000 at that time. In fact, I need an opportunity to meet him and say thank you," he said on Kofi TV.

Gyan is known for his generous acts, having helped several people in Ghana and across the continent.

"Not everybody will comeback and say thank you," replied Gyan on Instagram.

The 36-year-old has been inactive since 2021 after leaving Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities but is yet to officially retire from the sport.

Gyan remains the country all-time top scorer with 51 goals from 109 appearances.

The ex-Sunderland player also holds the record as Africa's top World Cup scorer with six goals at three tournaments.

Gyan pays Stonebwoy's hospital bills

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that multiple award-winning Ghanaian musician, Stonebwoy has expressed profound gratitude to Black Stars legend, Asamoah Gyan for paying his surgery bills seven years ago.

The reggae-dancehall superstar revealed that the former Ghana captain came through for him at the lowest point of his life.

Stonebwoy, known in real life as Livingstone Etse Satekla, had lost his mother five months earlier.

Legendary Ghanaian footballer, Asamoah Gyan has disclosed that his decision to play in the domestic topflight league was backed by his quest to make an impact in his home country.

Injuries plagued Gyan's brief spell at Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities and he has since not played competitively after leaving the club in 2021.

Although he is yet to officially hang his boots, Gyan is hoping to have a last dance with a club in the league before calling it quits.
