Marouane Fellaini believes Man United made mistake to sack Jose Mourinho

Former Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is adamant the Premier League side made a big mistake by sacking Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho was shown the door at Old Trafford in December 2018 after a string of poor performances coupled with fall outs with key players in the team including Paul Pogba.

United legend Ole Gunner Solskjaer, however, stepped in initially on interim capacity before Red Devils' chief confirmed him as new gaffer after impressive Champions League win over PSG.

But he has experienced a worrying slump since his confirmation as Manchester United manager, and his club is not only struggling for goals, it might well be on its way to relegation.

Fellaini who left Manchester United in January for a move to the Chinese Super League, stated emphatically that the Old Trafford chiefs lack the experience.

“They brought in one of the best managers in the world in Jose Mourinho, he wanted to build a team and they sacked him. It’s not easy to build a team in that time, you need more than two years. I don’t know what they will do with this manager (Solskjaer)) but, for me, to win things and to improve, you need time. he said as quoted by UK Mirror.

Meanwhile, Jean Michel Aulas, the president of French club Lyon, claimed Mourinho has already chosen the club where he will manage next.

The tactician has been out of coaching since the Portuguese was sacked at Manchester United in December 2018, but he has been doing punditry jobs since then.
