The youngster broke into the first team under former boss, Ralf Rangnick but was promoted fully by Erik ten Hag and has been repaying that faith since then.

Garnacho ended weeks of speculation about a possible exit from the club on Friday by committing his future to Man United until 2028, which comes with an improved salary.

The 18-year-old is in a relationship with Spanish model, Eva Garcia. According to Sun UK, the two became public with their relationship in 2021.

They announced they are expecting a baby boy on Sunday, two days after the player signed a new contract, as revealed in a joint Instagram post by the two.

The post also confirmed the baby's name is to be Enzo.

Garnacho hints at new number

The Argentine currently wears the number 49 with the first team but has now hinted at a number change next season - and it is iconic - according to Manchester Evening News.

Garnacho liked a tweet from a fan who asked the club give the youngster the iconic number 7 jersey, which was left vacant after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in December.

However, he would be wary of the expectation the number carries and that after the veteran's first stint, no other player was successful in the jersey until Ronaldo had returned.

Sports Brief earlier reported on Garnacho renting an entire restaurant to celebrate his new contract in the company of his friends and his model partner, Eva Garcia.

He rented Victor's Eatery in Hale, Cheshire and arrived in a Mercedes van on the night to have dinner, after which the couple announced they were expecting a baby.
