Renowned Black Stars player Kwadwo Asamoah has made a remarkable history in Serie A after becoming the African player with the highest appearances of all time in the league.
As myjoyonline.com reports, Kwadwo Asamoah was able to bag the achievement after he was substituted in the 77th minute in the recent match between his club Cagliari and Crotone.
This appearance brought the midfielder's total number of caps in Serie A to 271 which outdoes the record that was previously held by Sulley Muntari at 270.
Some sports pundits have opined that Asamoah could have reached this feat months ago if he had not terminated his contract with Inter Milan last year and had a five-month period inbetween.
Asamoah’s journey in the Serie A started with Udinese where he made a name for himself attracting interest from top clubs in Europe.
The Ghanaian football superstar went on from there to make 114 appearances in the league for Udinese before joining the Italian giants Juventus.
In another interesting story, Abubakar Jamiu Thioumbianu from the West Natinga Bawku Electoral Area in the Upper East Region of Ghana is the youngest assemblyman in the area.
Information obtained directly from the 29-year-old indicated that he became an assemblyman for the first time when he was only 22 and in college.
After he graduated from the Bawku Presbyterian Nursing Training College, the gentleman ran for office again after his first victory in 2014 and got reelected in 2020.
