- Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is believed to be top on United's transfer shortlist
- Reports suggest the Red Devils are plotting an £80million summer move for the England international
Erik ten Hag has reportedly handed Manchester United chiefs a five-man shortlist of world-class strikers he wants the club to sign ahead of the summer transfer window.
The United boss is understood to have prioritised the signing of a prolific striker at the end of the season, with the club currently without a substantive one since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Anthony Martial was initially expected to step up and fill Ronaldo's void, but a string of injuries has heavily impacted his form and consistency.
While the Red Devils were able to sign Wout Weghorst on loan during the January transfer window, the Dutchman has equally failed to live up to expectations.

“Everyone knows and it is not a secret that long-term and over a whole season we had a shortage of No9s," The Sun quoted Dutchman saying.
Reports claim the United boss has since drawn up a five-man shortlist of strikers he wants the Red Devils to sign.
According to Sky Sports, the Old Trafford dwellers have Harry Kane on top of their shortlist and are plotting an £80m move for the Tottenham striker.
