“He’s got a tear in his adductor muscle. He’s out for a number of weeks.
“I’m not going to rule him out for the rest of the season, but it’s going to be tough to get him back. Hopefully, we can.
“It’s a blow. He came on at half-time against Man City and did ever so well. He played really well in the Wolves game as well. He scored the penalty and created chances.
“His all-round displays have been really good, so it’ll be a loss, but it’s an opportunity for others.”

Leicester City will face Everton in their next Premier League game on Monday.

Iheanacho scores in win over Wolves

Meanwhile, Iheanacho was on the scoresheet as Leicester City recorded their first win in 10 games beating Wolves 2-1 in what was a challenging Premier League battle.

Portugal winger Matheus Cunha gave Wolves the lead in the 13 minutes, sending the home fans into total silence.

Iheanacho equalised from the spot in the 37th minute. Timothy Castagne then scored the winning goal for Dean Smith’s side in the second half.

Why I never wanted to join Man City - Iheanacho

Sports Brief earlier reported that Iheanacho once disclosed that he never intended to play for such a big club like Manchester City of England.

The Super Eagles star recalls the moment he received an invitation to join the outfit, saying he never believed he would get such an invitation.

In less than one year of moving to the Etihad Stadium, the left-footed player received a promotion to the main squad and in his debut season for the Citizens, they claimed the League Cup.
