  • Cristiano Ronaldo is plying his trade in Saudi Arabia after joining Al-Nassr in January
  • He is the biggest star to play in the country and has seen even opponents gloating about him
  • An opponent has however expressed disappointment at a gesture shown by the 38-year-old after a loss

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most competitive footballers ever and one who lets defeat get to him, as shown many times during the course of his career.

He currently plies his trade in the lowly Saudi Pro League after joining Al-Nassr in January, signing football's most lucrative contract.

The Portuguese international has had his fair share of ups and downs, but it appears the lows are overshadowing the highs, having been eliminated from all cups and are six points behind first in the league.

The capital city club were eliminated from the King's Cup in the semi-final after losing to 10-men Al Wehda, during which Ronaldo vented his frustration at his teammates, according to talkSPORT.

Ronaldo refuses shirt swap

French striker Al-Wehda striker Jean-David Beauguel scored the only goal of the game for Al Wehda in the 23rd minute and approached Ronaldo for a shirt swap at full-time but was rejected.

“I was a little disappointed,'' Beauguel told L'Equipe. “At the end of the game, I told him that I was a big fan and asked for his jersey. He shook my hand without really looking at me, with a very contemptuous air.''
“I still remember the videos I watched of him when he was in college. I understand that he was disappointed after the loss, that he is a great competitor, but his attitude surprised me. Even on the pitch, he was upset, he yelled at his teammates.''

SportBible reports that Ronaldo could be set for a second consecutive trophyless season, with Al-Nassr currently six points behind Al-Ittihad with six games left.

Dybala once hated Ronaldo

Sports Brief reported that Roma star Paulo Dybala claimed he once rated Ronaldo and told the 38-year-old during their time together at Juventus.

Dybala hails from Argentina, the same as Lionel Messi, who has been Ronaldo's main rival since the two broke onto the scene about twenty years ago.
