Meanwhile, Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly could finally get a serious chance of signing Messi, with a summer decision looming for the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner, Football London reports.
Barcelona's financial struggles could make sanctioning the move for the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner legally challenging for the La Liga club, which could open a door for the Blues.
Chelsea would also hope the reported arrival of Mauricio Pochettino - a former PSG manager - could play to their advantage as they try to loosen Barcelona's firm hold of Messi.
