FootballForgotten Man Utd Star Phil Jones Spotted in HBO TV Series
- Phil Jones is one of Manchester United's longest-serving players having joined in the summer of 2011
- The English defender has struggled with injuries and has been a part player for the past several years
- His contract expires in the summer and he would leave the club after 12 years
Manchester United defender Phil Jones is having time off and was spotted in a cameo appearance on a TV series, despite being contracted to the Red Devils and still yet to make an appearance since January 2022.
The English defender, signed from Blackburn Rovers in 2011 by legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson has struggled with injuries in the past several years.
The 31-year-old is one of the missteps of Ferguson. After United's 2012/13 Premier League win, which coincided with the Scot's retirement, he claimed Jones could be the club's best-ever player, as reported by Mirror UK.
Ten years after that prophecy, he is on the club's book for only a few months more and has not played a game in over a year; instead, he is doing other things whilst receiving payment from the club.
