Dybala hails from the same country as Ronaldo's arch-rival, Lionel Messi. He explained that as a child in Argentina, Diego Maradona and Messi were idolised for their football prowess.
However, this did not get in the way of the Roma star's relationship with Ronaldo, with the pair winning two Serie A titles.
"I spent three nice years with Cristiano, the team was very strong and he added something more," said Dybala, as quoted by Football Italia.
He described a discussion he once had with Ronaldo, where Dybala admitted to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner that he had once hated him.
"Once, we were flying out for a game; I was sitting at the back of the plane and he was slightly ahead. At some point, he came to me, we spoke about life in general for a while, and I told him: ‘As a kid, I practically hated you’. We laughed about it and we’ve always been on good terms."

It started with a draw against Al Feiha, which cost Rudi Garcia his job. Interim coach, Dinko Jeličić could then do nothing as an Odion Ighalo brace condemned his side against Al-Hilal.
It then went from bad to worse as Al-Nassr were dumped out of the Saudi King's Cup in the quarter-finals by Al-Wehda on April 24, with Ronaldo's growing frustration becoming evident.
