Vidic on Rooney, Ronaldo debate
Vidic, who had the honour of sharing the locker room with the deadly duo, has seemingly delved into the silent debate.
While appearing on Rio Ferdinand's Vibe with Five podcast, the legendary defender showed a clear preference for Ronaldo, who he hailed for his dedication.
According to Vidic, whereas he believes Rooney had the talent to match Ronaldo's, the Englishman lacked the Portuguese star's mentality.
"You see Cristiano [Ronaldo] on Instagram, it's all flashy stuff but he deserves it," Vidic noted. "At his age, 18, 19, to 21, to have that mentality to work hard, not go out, fight for your dream, the way he did it he deserves everything he got. For me, Wayne Rooney, he failed in terms of that."
