Mario Balotelli's claims that he could have stopped Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo from winning as many Ballon d'Or awards has been met by numerous responses on social media.
The Italian forward shockingly revealed that his late former agent, Mino Raiola accused him of not reaching his full potential and as a result, not winning the coveted golden ball.
The ex-Inter Milan star burst onto the scene after breaking into the first team of the Nerazzurri in 2009, winning the golden boy award in 2010.
However, despite his enormous potential, he failed to reached the heights expected of him.

The striker, who now plays for FC Sion in Switzerland's top flight league, has claimed he only showed 20% of his skills on the pitch.
“Raiola always told me the same thing: If Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have so many Ballon d’Or trophies, it is your fault. He was right; too often I played at 20% of my capabilities," he told the Muschio Salvaggio Podcast on YouTube.
Balotelli joined Manchester City after the treble winning feat with Inter, but his poor attitude led him to several controversies.
His career took a massive nosedive as he ended up globetrotting in Europe.

Balotelli credits Inter for career
Earlier, Sports Brief reported on FC Sion forward, Balotelli paying Inter a glowing tribute for the huge role the club played in his career as a footballer.
The controversial striker grew through the ranks at the Nerazzurri and became one of the most sought-after youngsters for his enormous talent.
Balotelli was a member of the Inter Milan team that won the treble in the 2009/10 season, under the guidance of Portuguese coach, Jose Mourinho.
