Max Taylor: Man United defender returns to training after successful cancer treatment
- Max Taylor has been in rehab for close to seven months after being diagnosed with cancer
- He is understood to have made tremendous progress in his recovery journey
- The youngster has already taken part in full training
Man United have confirmed the return of defender Max Taylor to training after a successful cancer treatment.
In a statement posted on the club's website on Wednesday, September 18, United revealed the youngster has already taken part in full training.

“Manchester United’s Under-23s defender Max Taylor has returned to training after responding successfully to cancer treatment," the club announced.
“Taylor joined the wider group for full training for the first time this week and will continue to be involved intermittently as he steps up his return to the full-time programme," the statement continued.

On his part, the 19-year-old attributed his recovery journey to the support his family members, teammates and the medical team.
"Without the invaluable support of my family, team-mates and, of course, the nurses and doctors, my return to training at this stage would not have been possible," he said.

“I want to thank all of the club’s medical and sports-science staff that I have worked with throughout my rehabilitation," he added.
Taylor is understood to have gone for his first chemotherapy back in February and has been on a recovery journey since then.
