Cristiano Ronaldo's love life is reportedly in crisis, with issues believed to have rocked his relationship with Georgina Rodriguez. The rumours, which started earlier this year, have reemerged despite the couple putting a solid face on social media.

They recently moved to Saudi Arabia after Ronaldo secured the most expensive football contract in history with Al-Nassr following the termination of his contract by Manchester United.

Like any other celebrity relationship, there have always been unconfirmed rumours of differences between the two. The latest has come from a Portuguese television program Noite das Estrelas (Night of Stars), where a psychologist, a journalist and a close friend of the family were invited to give their opinions on Ronaldo's relationship.

As Marca reports, the psychologist Quintino Aires was of the opinion that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner was not happy in his relationship.

"Ronaldo's recent behaviour shows two things: that his personal life is not in a moment of happiness and that the more he distances himself from his mother, Dolores Aveiro, the less tempered he is. And we all know why he is increasingly distant from his family,"

Aires based his assumptions on the couple's attitude at public events this year.

Daniel Nascimento, another panellist and a journalist, agreed with Aires' remarks by saying:

"Ronaldo is not happy. Georgina spends her days in a shopping centre in Riyadh and that's one of the reasons why Cristiano is starting to find this story not funny. She just spends and spends and spends. And worst of all, she thinks she's on Cristiano's level. She's putting herself on a pedestal and he's not liking it at all."

Talks of a possible wedding in the near future were also shot down. Ronaldo is yet to officially marry the Argentine-born model. They have five kids together, some from Ronaldo's previous relationships and surrogate mothers. Their last born, Bella Esmeralda, recently turned one year.

In the same program, Filipa Castro, a close friend of Ronaldo, shot down the rumours of trouble in paradise.

"I can affirm from a 100 per cent reliable source that they are as always doing very well. This is just stories, gossip, made up by people who can't stand Gio. They are a couple who have love to give and give away."

Ronaldo is currently battling to lead Al-Nassr to the league title in his first season in the Middle East.
