Manchester City ace Riyad Mahrez set a unique club record thanks to an impressive hat trick against Sheffield United in the FA Cup semifinal on Saturday, April 22.

He completed his hat trick with a powerful first-time finish in the 66th minute after a delightful low cross from Jack Grealish as his goal kept City fans’ hope of a historic treble alive.

From an individual standpoint, Mahrez will take pride at the fact that he became the first Manchester City player to score a hat trick at the famous Wembley stadium.

Many Manchester City legends, including Sergio Aguero, have had the chance to hit that milestone, but as fate would have it, Mahrez was the one to achieve it.
According to the Manchester City website, Mahrez also became the first player to score a hat trick in the FA Cup semi-final stage at Wembley. Overall, he became the first player to score at a semi-final of England’s oldest competition since Alex Dawson in 1958.
