FootballDavid de Gea's calamitous goalkeeping against Sevilla has also placed him on the chopping board, while the midfield duo of Fred and Scott McTominay are also under threat.
Anthony Elanga, Donny van de Beek and Brandon Williams have all been earmarked for sale, with Eric Bailly and Alex Telles, who are out on loan, also unlikely to return.
Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer, who joined the Red Devils on loan, are also expected to return to their parent clubs.
Meanwhile, the summer overhaul is expected to boost United's transfer kitty as they plan for more additions.
Maguire's fight with de Gea
It was a difficult night for the captain, who he had an altercation with his goalkeeper as United bowed out of the Europa League. The Red Devils were taken apart in Spain as Sevilla maintained a charge for a record title.
Sports Brief previously reported that after the first goal went in, fans believe Maguire told de Gea to shut up with a gesture. The veteran keeper was visibly upset that his skipper couldn't keep possession of the ball.
Maguire's time at Manchester has always been punctuated with high-profile errors. However, he is set to have a lengthy run in the team with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane currently sidelined with injuries.
