English-born Ghanaian midfielder Kobbie Mainoo celebrated his 18th birthday in style after he received the official match ball from his debut for Manchester United.

The teen sensation made his debut for the Red Devils in the Carabao Cup clash against Charlton Athletic on January 10, 2023.

He later followed up with a Premier League debut against Leicester City. A game Manchester United won 3-0 at Old Trafford.

As he celebrated his 18th birthday on April 19, the English giants presented the player with the official match ball as seen in a video shared on social media.

Mainoo has since made three senior appearances including one in the English FA Cup against Fulham.

The England U18 star has also made 13 appearances in the Premier League 2 this season and remaining a key memdber of the reserve team.

Although he was born in England, Mainoo remains eligible to play for Ghana through his parents.

Kobbie Mainoo makes Man United debut

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that English-born Ghanaian, Kobbie Mainoo has finally made his long-awaited Manchester United debut in the EFL Cup against Charlton Athletic.

The 18-year-old Academy product started as the Red Devils defeated Charlton to progress to the semi-finals of the Cup competition.

Mainoo lasted an hour of the game before he was replaced by Casimero as the Red Devils triumphed 3-0 at Old Trafford.

Mainoo gets fresh Manchester United contract

Manchester United have signed midfielder Kobbie Mainoo from the academy, making it the 17-year-old first professional contract in his career.

This comes after the 17-year-old, who was born in Stockport, wowed everyone at Old Trafford with his outstanding performance in the FA Youth Cup final, which United Academy won.

Mainoo has made 31 appearances for Manchester United U-18 so far this season, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.
