Neymar may have revealed his next club when he finally leaves Paris Saint-Germain, after a recent visit to Brazil.

The 31-year-old forward paid a visit to former club, Santos as he watched his childhood team being held to a goalless draw by Audax Italiano in the Copa Sudamericana group stages.

According to Goal, Neymar offered hope to Santos fans when leaving the stadium after the counter, as he promised the Brazilian club's fans he would be back while leaving the stadium after the encounter.

The star forward has seen his future at PSG clouded by uncertainty after rumours the Ligue 1 champions were seeking to offload him in the summer, despite his current deal not expiring until 2025.

Neymar made his first-team debut with Santos in 2009, making 177 appearances for the club before joining Barcelona in 2013.

Neymar nears return to Paris

Meanwhile, Neymar is expected to return to PSG at the end of April after recovering from his ankle injury in his home country of Brazil, Get Football reports.

The star saw his season end early after he sustained an injury during a Ligue 1 match against Lille on February 19, undergoing surgery in Qatar the next month.

Neymar is still wearing an orthopaedic boot as he recovers from the injury but the PSG forward can reportedly remove it once he returns to the Parisians.
