Barcelona has confirmed in a statement that they intend to continue with their plans of playing their 2023/24 season away from their traditional home stadium Camp Nou.
The Catalan giants are set to play their next two seasons at the Estadi Lluis Companys while they begin renovation work at Camp Nou which houses over 90,000 supporters.
According to Football Espana, Barcelona club confirmed on Wednesday, April 19, that the first phase of work for the club to play at the Estadi Lluis Companys next season has been completed.

The La Liga leaders also revealed the grass has been replaced there and a new drainage system is being installed. Several facilities are also in line for improvement in the coming months.
Camp Nou which has been Barcelona’s home ground since 1957 is the stadium with the largest capacity in Spain and Europe, and the second largest in association football with a total capacity of 99,354.
Barcelona find another formula to make money
Meanwhile, Barcelona has been working for months on the sale of 24 percent of Barca Studios as they need to urgently raise €200million for their preparation of the 2023/24 season, Marca reports.
Last season the Catalan club activated a fourth lever when it raised a total of €100million after the sale of 25 percent to Orpheus Media, the company owned by Jaume Roures.
Barcelona are trying to make Lionel Messi’s return a reality but will need to present a viable financial plan to La Liga before the move can be sanctioned by the Spanish football body.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Barcelona are not just itching to sign Lionel Messi to improve their results on the pitch, but also intends to use his return to Camp Nou to boost the economic growth of the club.
The Catalan giants have been in a financial mess for a few years and had to activate up to six financial levers at the start of the season, to be able to fund the transfer of players.
Barcelona believes if they can just get Messi over the line and registered, the club would be able to increase their income by around 25 percent.
