Frank Lampard has added an unwanted record to his managerial CV following Chelsea's latest setback in the Champions League.

The Blues are yet to record a win in four outings since the return of Lampard as the club's caretaker manager.

The legendary manager kicked off his second stint at the helm of affairs at Stamford Bridge with a 1-0 defeat against Wolves in the Premier League.

Lampard's hopes of getting Chelsea back to winning ways in his third match in charge flopped against Brighton before he led the Blues to their latest defeat against Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League tie on Tuesday night.

Lampard sets unwanted record

Chelsea's defeat against Real Madrid makes Lampard the first Blues boss to lose each of their first four matches in charge of the club.

However, The Mirror reports this is not the first time Chelsea have lost four consecutive games across competitions.

Back in November 1993, the West Londoners recorded a similar streak, only that no manager has ever had a worse start to life at Chelsea than Lampard.

The former England international will be keen to lead his charges back to winning ways when they take on Brentford in the Premier League next Wednesday, April 26.

Drogba slams Chelsea owners

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Didier Drogba has launched a scathing attack on the current Chelsea ownership as the Blues endure a miserable season.

Chelsea were knocked out of the Champions League on Tuesday night by Real Madrid with an aggregate scoreline of 4-0.

The exit saw Chelsea's last shot at silverware and redemption this season go out through the window as well. They are currently languishing in 11th position, with any form of European football next season a far cry at moment.
