Real Madrid and Barcelona are enjoying a sour relationship at the moment, with both Spanish teams publicly criticising each other in recent days.
In a bid to defend the Catalan club amid the refereeing scandal, Barcelona president, Joan Laporta launched a scathing attack on Real Madrid, describing them as 'the regime team' due to its proximity to political, sporting, and economic power.
According to Goal, Real Madrid has now responded by releasing a lengthy video detailing Barcelona's links to Francisco Franco, in response to comments from Laporta.
The video, which was widely circulated on social media, delves into Barca's ties with the dictator, claiming the Catalan club gave him three medals, made him an honourary club member, and enjoyed greater on-field success during his fascist regime.

Real Madrid also revealed they intend to testify against Barcelona in the investigation into the club's payment scandal.
Barcelona wants Madrid off case
Meanwhile, former Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu has written to the Spanish courts to have Real Madrid removed from testifying in the Negreira case, Football Espana reports.
Bartomeu, who is also under investigation amid allegations of 'sporting corruption' believes their rivals have not been affected by El Caso Negreira and should therefore not be involved furtherrremoved from the case.
Spanish prosecutors are currently investigating claims that Barcelona made years of payments to a former official, although the club have maintained their innocence throughout the matter.
