Barcelona suffered yet another setback in the pursuit of their first La Liga crown since 2019 after they were held to a goalless draw by Getafe on Saturday, April 16.
The Catalans have now failed to register a goal in their last three games following their embarrassing loss to Real Madrid and also being held to a goalless draw to Girona in their last three matches.
According to Football Espana, this is the first time Barcelona have gone three games without scoring a goal since Frank Rijkaard was in charge of the club in 2008.

Under the Dutch manager, Barcelona went on a four-game run without scoring a goal, two of which were Champions League semi-finals against Manchester United.
Barcelona have also scored 53 goals this season which is also the club’s worst total after 29 matches in La Liga since the 2003/04 season.
Meanwhile, Barcelona manager Xavi called out Getafe for their pitch setup following their goalless draw after the Catalans failed to score for the third consecutive game, Barca Universal reports.
Xavi blasted Getafe for keeping the grass very long and dry as he insisted the pitch was not in good condition which hindered his Barcelona team from playing their best football.
The Barcelona boss however refused to blame the draw on the pitch as the Catalans again faltered in their bid to secure their first La Liga crown since 2019.
