Napoli are further increasing security measures at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona Stadium after violence erupted two weeks ago in their 4-0 home loss to AC Milan.
Ironically, the fans are protesting against increasing security measures by causing violence at the stadium, making a case against themselves and validating the club's activities.
The incident destabilised the team, who were also without talismanic striker Victor Osimhen for the encounter, culminating in an embarrassing loss to Milan, who have been inconsistent this season.
The team struggled to beat Empoli 2-1 before losing to Milan again, 1-0, in the first leg of the UEFA Champions quarter-final at the San Siro.

Spalletti vows to walk away
Luciano Spalletti was not pleased with the incident, claiming it created a hostage environment for the players, and he can not understand why such is happening when they are trying to win the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years.
“I don’t know what atmosphere to expect in the return leg, but you can imagine how upset I was to see our stadium like that against Milan. If the same thing happens during the return leg, I’ll leave the bench and go home. Because it’s something inexplicable,” he said, as quoted by Football Italia.
Napoli will host Hellas Verona later today before welcoming AC Milan for the second leg of the crucial encounter, where the team could be set for history.
