- The Special One promised not to complain should Roma be knocked out next week
Jose Mourinho was in a characteristic mood after AS Roma lost to Feyenoord in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals on April 13.
It was a reunion between the two teams who met in the inaugural final of the Conference League last season, where Mourinho's side triumphed then courtesy of a Nicolo Zaniolo strike.
However, Roma had an off night on Thursday as Matts Wieffer's goal in the second half was the difference between the two sides.
As if the result wasn't damaging enough, Mourinho saw Paulo Dybala and Tammy Abraham limp off with injuries after Lorenzo Pellegrini had missed a penalty.

In the post-match conference, a Dutch journalist questioned why Roma was not victorious that night, to which Mourinho retorted that they failed to put the ball into the net.
'The Special One' then promised the journalist that should Roma exit the competition, he would not cry for 10 months like his Feyenoord counterparts had.
The Portuguese manager alluded that the Eredivisie giants were yet to get over the fact that they were beaten in the Tirana final - a fact the journalist admitted in his exchange with Mourinho.
The second leg is in a week's time in Rome and the veteran manager will face a huge task of who to field, should Dybala's injury prove to be serious.
However, coming back from a 1-0 deficit has been the story of Mourinho's career and therefore, the Giallorossi will be feeling pretty confident.
