Thomas Tuchel has taken a defiant position about the chances of Bayern Munich making the semifinals of the Champions League.
Tuchel helplessly watched as Bayern Munich were picked apart by a clinical Manchester City side in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tie.
A stunning curling shot from Rodri broke Bayern's resistance before second-half goals from Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland gave the Citizens a commanding lead ahead of the reverse fixture in Munich, Eurosport reports.
Reflecting on the result, Tuchel, who was handling his fourth game since replacing Julian Nagelsmann as Bayern boss, argued his side were unlucky.

"This does not feel like a 3-0, but it is a 3-0, and it is a huge, huge task now to turn this around. We are realistic, but we will not give up," said Tuchel afterwards," he said as quoted by Sky Sports.
"It will not be over until we are in the shower."
The 49-year-old tactician highlighted Rodri's goal as the catalyst for their misfortune on Tuesday night.
"If City gets this sort of goal, it gets really, really difficult," said the Bayern boss.
"The reaction was great during the first half. In the second half, it was even better. In the period where the goal could give us a huge boost of confidence, the opposite happened."
