- Tuchel was appointed as the new Bayern Munich coach during the international break, replacing Julian Nagelsmann
- The pair will be looking forward to working together to win this year's Champions League
Kingsley Coman has opened up on his heartwarming encounter with new Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel ahead of their Champions League tie against Manchester City.
Coman nodded home the winning goal for Bayern in the 2020 Champions League final against a Paris Saint-Germain side coached by Tuchel.
The Frenchman's goal denied Tuchel his first Champions League crown, but he quickly made amends the following season with Chelsea.
Three years on, Coman and Tuchel are now on the same team, but the former's goal in Lisbon still haunts the German tactician, who wasted no time in making it known to the winger when they first met at Bayern's training base, Säbener Strasse.

Tuchel light-heartedly reminded the 26-year-old of the pain he caused him in 2020 by giving him a 'small slap'.
"When I saw him [Tuchel] for the first time, when I came back from the national team, he gave me a small slap. He said, ‘I lost the Champions League final (to you), that’s true, now we need to get one together’. That’s nice. That’s how football is," Coman recalled, as quoted by MiaSanMia.
He, however, is looking forward to joining forces with Tuchel to clinch Europe's premier club competition together.
"Everything can happen, and it would be amazing if we could win the Champions League together."
Meanwhile, Tuchel and Coman have an uphill task on Tuesday, April 11, when Bayern cross swords with Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tie.
