Mudryk's struggles at Stamford Bridge
However, Mudryk has failed to live up to the hype at Stamford Bridge since his arrival, with the winger struggling to make an impact.
According to Metro UK, the Ukraine international is yet to score a single goal for his new side, registering just one assist in nine appearances.
So underwhelming he has been that he has failed to play the entire 90 minutes in any of those nine fixtures.
Chelsea warned about Mudryk
Shakhtar chief Serhiy Palkin has now disclosed that he actually warned Chelsea about Mudryk before they signed the forward.
According to Palkin, he informed Chelsea they would need to take a patient approach with Mudryk before they could see the results.
"I said from the beginning, I spoke to the owners of Chelsea, and I told them you’ve got a real diamond, but you should be very, very patient. Give this guy time, and he will show you what he can bring to the club," Palkin told Sky Sports.

Lampard to help Mount talks
Sports Brief has also reported on how the appointment of Frank Lampard as caretaker boss could be a masterstroke in convincing Mason Mount to agree to new terms at the club.
Say what you want about Mount's form this season, but it would be foolish for Chelsea to allow him to leave. His 'dad' could help ease the contract negotiations.
Mount has endured a difficult time this season and has been an unused substitute in Chelsea's last two games.
