Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford suffered what appeared to be a worrying injury in is side’s 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday, April 8.

The 25-year old, who is United’s top goal scorer this season with 28 goals across all competitions, clutched at his groin in the 28th minute after trying to get to a high ball.

That proved to be his final contribution in the game as he limped off the turf to be replaced by Wout Weghorst

Massive blow to United

The injury will come at a very unwelcome time for United boss Erik Ten Hag, whose side have some gruelling fixtures in April.

United face Sevilla twice in the Europa League, and in between that game is a tricky fixture against a relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest.

The Red Devils will also come up against Brighton in the FA Cup, before ending the month with league games against Tottenham and Aston Villa.

In the 49 games United have played across all competitions this term, Rashford has featured in 47 of them, a stat that highlights the forward’s importance to the team.

How the game went

As far as the game went, United were brilliant in the early kick off as they started the game with energy, deservedly going ahead through Scot McTominay, who continued his fine goal scoring form for club and country.

Anthony Martial then got is first goal for United since December after Rashford capitalized on a Seamus Coleman error to square the ball to an unmarked Martial
