  • Jose Mourinho is one of the greatest football managers of all time
  • The self-acclaimed Special One has won titles in every country he has managed
  • Tottenham is the only club he has managed without winning silverware

Jose Mourinho sits at every table where the greatest manager of all time is being discussed. The Portuguese has managed some of the best clubs in the world, such as Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

He is a serial winner who has won trophies with every club he has managed except Tottenham Hotspur. The club sacked him six days before the 2021 Carabao Cup final, which they eventually lost to Manchester City.

The self-acclaimed Special One is currently the head coach of Italian club AS Roma, having made a shock move to the Italian capital before the Euro 2021.

He won the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League in his first season in Rome, becoming the only manager to win all three UEFA club competitions, according to Sports Illustrated.

Cassano rips into Mourinho

His impressive achievements, however, do not put him in the good books of former Italy striker Antonio Cassano, who disproved the Portuguese's works in the last years.

Speaking on Bobo TV via Sportface, Cassano said Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri cares about football more than Mourinho, who he claims only lives on past reputation.

“Sarri loves football, while he [Mourinho] doesn't care. People wear him as if he were who knows who, but he wins cleverly, while Sarri plays fantastic football. Mourinho's kick is zero,” he said.
“Of course if you look at the achievements it is another matter, but we must not be fooled. One is capable of doing his job, the other is only in the cinema. I have no idea how Roma play and I don't understand how they get results.
“Before he was a great coach, today if he coaches Real Madrid or San Martinese it's the same thing. If he returns to Real it is only because of his status, if they want to play football they don't call him.”

Mourinho's last league title was the 2014/15 Premier League title with Chelsea, while his last UEFA Champions League title came in the 2009/2010 season with Inter Milan.

Ancelotti hails Mourinho as the GOAT

Sports Brief reported that Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti hailed Mourinho as the greatest of them all while defending the famous defensive tactics as not being outdated.

The two veteran managers have shared the touchlines on many occasions and achieved enviable successes. The Italian's adulation came at a time many fans were losing regard for the Portuguese.
