Fernandes kick on De Gea
Fernandes has been United's captain for long periods of time this season following Harry Maguire's relegation to the bench.
De Gea thwarted Kevin Schade's effort on goal and picked up an injury in the process. As he was being tended to by medical personnel, Fernandes walked over to him and gave him a couple of kicks.
Fans online have interpreted the act as Fernades nudging De Gea to get up and carry on. Luckily for him, his collision with Schade did not leave long-lasting damage.
Ten Hag's charges will now focus on the early kick-off game against Everton on Saturday as Brentford entertain Newcastle.
