"Sometimes I ask myself: why did so many media focus on me? I didn't ask for this. There are situations that cross the line. "Ah, he's the new Pelé". Man, no one is going to be Pelé, he's the king of football But now there's nothing to do, I can't ask people not to talk about my life,"

The Brazilian youngster scored his first goal in five months for Palmeiras on Sunday after coming on as a second-half substitute in Sunday's 2-1 league defeat to Agua Santa.

Endrick denies crying on bench

Meanwhile, Endrick has come out to deny he broke down in tears on the Palmeiras bench after he was substituted in a Brazilian league game in February, ESPN reports.

The 16-year-old forward was spotted covering his face on the bench after he was taken off by Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira who later admitted that the striker was crying.

Endrick revealed the picture of him covering his face with his vest was interpreted wrongly as he wasn’t weeping but was only praying to God.

Endrick backed to surpass Brazil legend

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Real Madrid wonderkid, Endrick Felipe has been revealed to have the same mentality as Brazilian icon, Ronaldo Nazario by his former youth coach at Palmeiras, Paulo Victor.

Los Blancos beat arch-rivals, Barcelona to the signing of the 16-year-old forward after they splashed a whopping €60 million to sign the teenager from the Brazilian club.

Victor backed Endrick to succeed at Real Madrid, outlining the qualities the young forward possesses that make him more like Ronaldo.
