Aside from Hilal circling Messi, his former club fancy their chances of tying the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner to a deal, but Financial Fair Play rules could hamper the deal.

Also, Jorge Horacio Messi, Leo's father and business agent, has recently been sighted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which has led to rumours that he may be negotiating a transfer for his son, per Saudi Gazette.

Messi set for PSG exit

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Lionel Messi is expected to bring his two-year stint with Paris Saint-Germain to an end this summer following the expiration of his contract.

Messi's representatives have been in contact with PSG about extending his deal, and things appeared promising during the World Cup in Qatar.

According to reports, Messi will exit the club when his two-year deal with the Parisians runs out in the summer.

Potential destinations for Messi

Sports Brief evaluates six potential destinations for Lionel Messi, whose services are in high demand as several teams are ready to scramble for his signature.

Lionel Messi is reportedly set to part ways with the French giants at the end of the 2022/23 season.
