The former Spain international played alongside Ronaldo at Old Trafford before leaving for Barcelona in 2008, where he has become a bona fide club legend.
The pair worked together for four years at the club before heading on a collision course when they represented two of Spain's big two clubs, Barcelona and Real Madrid, per MEN.
Despite being teammates in England, Pique and the 38-year-old's stint in Spain was more tempestuous when they faced each other in the El Clasico.

Regardless of his tense relationship with Cristiano, who currently plays in Saudi Arabia for Al-Nassr, Pique has absolute respect for the sporting achievements of the Portuguese.
Pique's ultimate dream team
The 2010 World Cup winner picked legendary Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas as his No.1 choice between the posts, snubbing his erstwhile Barcelona teammate Victor Valdez.
In defence, he opted for his compatriot Carles Puyol, whom he partnered for six seasons during a trophy-laden spell at Camp Nou.
He then chose former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas in the centre of midfield while opting for a sensational attack comprising Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who share a staggering 12 Ballon d'Or awards between them.
