“That is a good question, but I don’t know; I have never thought about it or talked about it to someone. Maybe if they call me. I don’t know when is the tournament, but we never know,” he told Ghanaweb, as quoted by Pulse.

The German-born Ghanaian has been in fine form for Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga 2 this season, scoring seven goals in 23 games.

The talented forward switched nationalities to represent the west Africans in 2022, making his debut in the international friendly against Nicaragua last September.

Ghana qualified for the U23 Africa Cup of Nations after beating Algeria 2-1 on aggregate.

Konigsdorffer disappointed after cup snub

In related coverage, Sports Brief reported on Hamburger SV's Konigsdorffer expressing disappointment after failing to make the final Ghana squad for the 2022 World Cup.

The German-born Ghanaian has been in fine form in the German Bundesliga II, and was tipped as one of the players to join Otto Addo's men for the tournament in Qatar.

However, the Black Stars coach did not include the 21-year-old in his team, preferring to include the likes of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Antoine Semenyo over Konigsdorffer.

Konigsdorffer explains Ghana decision

Former Germany U21 striker, Konigsdorffer has disclosed why he opted to represent Ghana at international level.

Sports Brief reported on the 20-year-old forward switching nationality to play for the west Africans last June.

According to the forward, his decision to play was inspired by his father and what he called a simpler decision.
