- Pressure continues to mount on Potter, who still has to face Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United in their last 10 games
Graham Potter has taken full responsibility for Chelsea’s defeat to Aston Villa as pressure piles on the former Brighton manager.
At Stamford Bridge, the Blues were completely had 27 shots on Saturday, April 1, but somehow failed to find the net against their opponents, who scored twice.
The results are simply not satisfactory, and fans made their feelings clear during the game as they chanted “you don’t know what you’re doing’ at the under-fire Potter.

“Second best”
In the wake of the crushing defeat, Potter faced media where he was expected to come up with answers for Chelsea, who have spent £550m since Todd Boehly took over in the summer.
But while speaking to Match of the Day, Potter had nowhere to hide as he bore responsibility for yet another loss.
"There is always a feeling we have not moved forward, that's fair to say. We have to analyse the performance and look at the things we've done well and what we can do better.” He said as quoted on BBC.
"I don't like to blame anybody, I have to take responsibility. We are a team, we have to stay together, we are together. We win or lose together.”
Chelsea’s best chance of the game came to January signing Mykhaylo Mudryk, whose effort was quite tame in a one-on-one situation with Emiliano Martinez.
