- Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti has expressed disappointment, saying it is a big blow to the club
The head coach of Napoli Luciano Spalletti has lamented following an injury that will rule Victor Osimhen out of their Champions League quarter-final clash against AC Milan.
It’s a triple-header between both teams as they will face off in the Serie A on Sunday, before their European engagement next week.
It was gathered that Osimhen has been ruled out for a few weeks after he complained of abductor strain which was later confirmed through tests.
The 24-year-old has not been to the club’s training facility since he returned from international duty with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

And ahead of their first match since the return from the international break, Spalletti admitted that it would be difficult to take on rivals Milan without their main striker.
He said, as per Punch:
“We’ve got a triple-header coming up against Milan. Being without Osimhen is a big blow, but Giovanni Simeone has proved his worth.
“It’s true. When we’re without Victor, the team have been able to make up for it and come out winners. We always approach our games in the Napoli way and players like Cholito have also made a huge difference this year.
“This team can handle anyone being missing because everyone has given something extra this year and we’ve played really well, even when facing top opposition."
