Gregor Kobel has had a moment to forget during Borussia Dortmund’s game against Bayern Munich.
The Dortmund keeper conceded three goals in the first half and was solely responsible for one of the most embarrassing moments of the season.
While Dayot Upamecano was credited with scoring the opening goal, it was Kobel who Bayern have to thank. Upamecano tried to feed Leroy Sane with a long-range pass from the halfway line, and Kobel rushed out of his box to clear the ball.
Unfortunately for the Dortmund keeper, he missed the ball entirely and had to watch it roll into the back of the net.

It was the worst possible start for the side, who began the weekend with a three-point lead over Bayern at the top of the Bundesliga. Dortmund hoped to keep things simple and not make any mistakes as they took on the defending champions, but it all fell apart with Kobel’s error.
The night didn’t get any easier as he conceded two further goals in the first 45 minutes, as Thomas Muller grabbed a brace.
Bayern grabbed a fourth goal in the second half as Kingsley Coman scored within five minutes of the restart. Dortmund did manage to grab a goal back as Emre Can scored from the penalty spot, but it wasn’t enough to save the team’s blushes.
