Kenneth Omeruo has disclosed that the current Super Eagles players are better than those under late coach Stephen Keshi who won the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
The former Chelsea player stated this while preparing to play for the Nigerian team in their clash against Guinea Bissau on Monday night, March 27.
Interestingly, Omeruo was also part of the Nigerian team that won the 2013 AFCON title, and since then, the Super Eagles have not laid their hands on the diadem.

Omeruo's statement about Super Eagles
“Guinea-Bissau was lucky to come out with the win against us because possession wise we dominated the game and we missed a lot of chances. I think the boys know what the mission is, we are not here for a draw we are coming to fight for everything.
“And believe me we have better players with better quality now than we did when we won the AFCON in 2013 and this is why I believe it’s something we can definitely do. And my role is to do my best on the pitch and try to advise especially the new players coming in.”
