Reports in the UK claim that the London club have already built a 10-man shortlist of managers from which they will find a permanent replacement.
According to the BBC, immediate former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann is top on Spurs' wish list.
Nagelsmann was rendered jobless at the end of last week when he was axed under unclear circumstances, with Thomas Tuchel replacing him.
Mauricio Pochettino is also among the leading contenders for the Tottenham job, alongside Luis Enrique.

Mourinho fared better than Conte
Sports Brief earlier reported that Jose Mourinho fared better than Conte when the Special One was in a similar situation to his Italian counterpart at Tottenham.
The Portuguese, instead of lashing out at every element of the club, praised the owner's work and vowed to help end the trophy drought, which, unfortunately, he was not allowed to do.
