Brazilian FA (CBF) president Ednaldo Rodrigues has acknowledged Carlo Ancelotti as his preferred candidate and everyone's favourite to be in charge of the South American giants.
Ancelotti has continuously been linked with the Brazil coaching job, which became vacant after Tite stepped down as manager following a disappointing quarterfinal exit at the 2022 World Cup.
The respected Italian gaffer has been credited for transforming winger Vinicius Junior while also bringing up the best in the Brazilian contingent at Real Madrid, making him the ideal candidate for the job.
Ednaldo Rodrigues, the Brazilian FA president, has now broken his silence about the Selecao's search for a new manager.

"We are going to have faith in God, wait for the right moment and see if we can make it happen as we look for the new coach of the Brazilian national team," Ednaldo said as quoted by MARCA.
"Ancelotti is unanimously respected among the players. Not just Ronaldo Nazario or Vinicius Jr, but everyone who has played for him. I really admire his honesty in how he works and how consistent he is."
"He needs no introduction. He is a top coach with several achievements and hopefully, he can have even more."
Despite speaking highly of the Italian, Rodrigues said Brazil must be careful to respect the due process as Ancelotti is under contract with Real Madrid until 2024.
"We will be very ethical in our approach and respect existing contracts," he said.

FootballRodrigues also added there is a clamour by the larger Brazilian populace for a better tactical organization in a coach of Ancelotti's calibre.
"Ancelotti is unanimously respected by the players. Wherever I go in Brazil, in every stadium, he is the coach our fans want the most."
Meanwhile, Brazil recently stumbled to an unexpected defeat under caretaker boss Ramon Menezes against Morocco. The 2-1 loss against the Atlas Lions on Saturday evening adds to the woes of Brazil.

Meanwhile, Vinicius Junior is excited about the prospect of working with Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti with the Brazilian national team, Sports Brief reported.
Following the departure of Tite after the South Americans' heartbreaking World Cup exit, Ancelotti has been linked with the vacant managerial role despite still having a contract with the La Liga giants.
According to Madrid Universal, Vinicius has risen to prominence under Ancelotti’s guidance at Real Madrid. The forward has now revealed the veteran manager is interested in becoming Brazil’s next manager.
