Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined the list of failed strikers at the club almost immediately after the club shipped out £97.5m striker Romelu Lukaku on loan to Inter Milan after falling out with former coach Thomas Tuchel.

The Gabonese was brought in to replace Lukaku, but his relationship with Tuchel lasted 59 minutes on the pitch before the German was shown the exit and replaced with Graham Potter.

Chelsea to terminate Aubameyang's contract

The former Arsenal striker's continued stay at Chelsea could be ended in the summer after reports the club have decided to terminate his £260,000 per-week contract, as Sports Brief earlier reported.

The striker was seen in former club Barcelona's dressing room after their 2-1 El Clasico win over Real Madrid, a move which angered the Blues' hierarchy.
